“Alex and I decided together earlier this year that we would get married, having bought our first house together and finished the 9 months of renovations, it was time to do something less dusty! We both knew that a non traditional wedding was right for us, no white dresses or churches, but one thing I was keen to get right was my ring. As something I would be wearing every day, it was important to me that the ring was unique, subtle yet special, shiny but not sparkly and having seen many recommendations on social media for Louise, we fittingly met on 14th February in a coffee bar in Caversham to discuss what I might like. From the moment I met Louise, she instantly put me at ease (I wasn’t that keen on the day being too ‘weddingy’ and she totally got that) and made me feel that anything was possible and that nothing would be too much trouble. She had lots of sample rings which really helped me to visualise what would look best on my finger. Typically the ideas I had when I walked in with, turned out to be quite different from the ring I went for! Louise was so accommodating, coming to my house for ring fittings and was extremely reliable. She was quick to reply to emails and I trusted 100% that she would be able to make me a ring I would love wearing every day.”

So fast forward to 1st June, Alex and I got married at 2pm in Henley Town Hall, a small ceremony with just 36 guests (plus an 8 week old baby guest!) and followed it up with a river cruise along the Thames and dinner at the newly re-furbished Thames Lido. As we had such a small wedding, we decided to have a party the next night to celebrate with more friends and family and so we were very lucky to have such nice weather and spent the evening on the Majestic Bel (a moored boat outside of the restaurant Bel and the Dragon). We both enjoyed our ‘wedding weekend’ as it’s become affectionately known far more than we could have hoped for. Louise played a very special part in it all for me and I love wearing my ring and am very proud to tell people, when they ask, who made it.”

It was really lovely to work with Laura, and I’m so pleased we explored ideas and designs that she hadn’t even considered before, to create her perfect wedding ring.

The simple, contemporary design really suited Laura, and will stand the test of time in terms of design and style.

The fine hammered surface with the high polish finish created a shimmering surface, taking the usual hammered rustic look to a more sophisticated finished result.
